Golden nectar


Yesterday i went for shopping and on my way i came across big juice stall bar .They were serving all kinds of drinks from smoothies ,juices and healthy drinks.Since it was very difficult for me to choose which is my favourite i choose golden nectar and i was not wrong it was delicious.This can be tried at home which i did and it worked too.

2 cups of orange juice
1 tbsp of raw honey
1 tbsp of lime juice
2 tsp of fresly grated ginger
2 ripe bananas

Blend all these in a blender untill smooth and serve with ice immediately.

Desi videsi


Coconut cupcakes
Ingredients: 3 cups of flour (non self raising)
2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of salt
3 sticks of unsalted butter
2 one forth of unsalted butter
half tsp of pure vanilla extract
1 cup of coconut milk
8 large white eggs
1 one fourth of shredded sweetend coconut

Method:
1) Preheat the oven to 360 degrees .Line 2 standard 12 muffin pans with with paper liners and set aside.
2)In a medium bowl wisk together flour,baking powder, and salt set aside.
3)In hand electric mixer blend butter and sugar untill light and fluffy 3 to 4 minutes scarping down the sides of the bowl if necessary .Beat in vanilla.With mixer on low speed add flour mixture in 3 parts ,with milk ,repeating alternatively and ending with the flour ,beat untill just combined.Transfer mixture to a large bowl and set aside.
4)With the help of electric mixture beat in eggs whites on low speed until foamy .With mixture running gradually add remaining one forth cup of sugar ,beat on high speed untill stiff glaossy peak forms about 4 minutes .Do not overbeat
5)Gently fold one third of the white mixture to the in to the butter flour mixture untill combined.Gently fold in the remaining egg white mixture ,stir in shredded coconut.
6)Divide the batter evenly on the muffin trays filling each with one fourth cup of batter and bake for 20 to 25 minutes
7)defrost the cup cake for 4 minutes
Frosting method
In a saucepan combine 3 fourth sugar,corn syrup,and 2 tbsp of water.Heat over medium heat stirring occasionally untill sugar has dissolved.Rub between your fingers to make sure there are no graininess.Raise heat to bring to boil .Do not stir anymore .In a bowl of an electric mixer whisk egg whites on medium speed untill soft peak form for 2 and half minutes .Gradually add 2 tbsp of sugar .Remove syrup from the heat .Pour in the sugar mixture in to the sides of the pan to avoid spalttering .Beat frosting untill cool for 5 to 10 minutes.As of now it should be thick and fomy .

Preparing mushrooms

I started liking mushroom when i came to london.I first had them in my dominos pizza and i loved them.I am quite suprised that the indians specially gujratis here do not eat mushroom and do not consider them to be vegetarian.It is a plant grown from benethe but it nutritious and healthy and totally vegeterian.I worked with dominos for 2 years as a food manager in london and would like to share something about mushroom because cleaning and making mushrooms needs to be done in a right way to make a tasty meal.

TYPES OF MUSHROOM: Look for firm ,smooth and dry caps .Avoid damp, pitted or dried out
The most common varieties of cultivated mushrooms include shiitake(intense mushroom taste),white (mild),portobello(meaty)and cremini(similiar to white and a fuller flavour)

STORING:Refrigerate loose mushrooms in a paper bag,and containers of mushrooms in their original package.Use within few days of purchase.

CLEANING:Do not soak mushrooms,they will absorb water rapidly and turn mushy when you cook them.You can clean mushroom with a stiff brush without wetting them,or quicky rinse them under a thin stream of cold water.Dry thoroughly with paper towels.

Preparing:Shiitakes have tough inedible stems that should be removed.For white mushroom and the remaining ones trim the spongy tip ,the rest is edible.

Summer breaker yum yum


PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE SAUCE
Indegrients:175ml double cream
100 gms milk chocolate chopped
100gms of peanut butter fudge sauce
15 ml of golden syrup
4 scoops of toffee icecream
4 scoops of chocolate icecrean
4 scoops of vanila icecream

Method: Put all the cream,chopped chocolate and golden syrup in a pan and place on the heat To melt.In about 2 minutes it should be ready
Get a glass out and scoop out the icecream
Pour some peanut butter fudge sauce over the icecream .Hand them round and wait for people to weep with gratitude.

Chocolate garnishes


Here is a sweet good thing To add to your dinner that is very sinple to create .You can make your own choclate designs to garnish your sorbets,icecream or even a slice of cake.Line a sheet with tape so that it does not curl.Make a cone which you normally make for mehndi.Dip in the chocolate in a pan to melt and pour the melting chocolate in the cone to make designs.Pipe adesign freehand or trace the shape on the opposite side of the parchment paper with a pencil.Place the sheet in the refrigerator to cool for 15 minutes or untill set.
Consume in one day.

I am cooking tonight


Soak sabudana for 3 hours .Add oil in a pan add musturd seeds,cumin seed,onions,curry leaves,potatoes,salt,turmeric powder,chopped green chillies and finally sabudana.Mix gently Add lemon juiceas per your taste and then finally add roasted peanuts crushed to the sabudana.

Indegrients:2 cups sabudana
1/2tsp of mustard seeds
2 tsp of cumin seeds
3-4green chillies
1tbsp of oil
1 onion
1/2 cup peanut

Celebration drink

Recently i went to my friend wedding and she served me this drink.It was very impressive and i asked for the receipe.She did not give the chef name but gave me the receipe taking all the credit .

6 tbsp of freshly squeezed orange juice
2 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tbsp of orange flavoured liquere such as grand marnier
Prosecco chilled
Fresh mint leaf

In a champagne flute ,mix together orange juice ,lemon juice ,liquere and fill the glass with Prosecco .Garnish with mint leaf and serve immediately.

Yummyyyyyyyyyyyy


I tried this receipe last week and it turned out to be good specially when you serve .
Receipe:1.5 litres of ice cream
200gms of dark chocolate chips or white chocolate chips or Milk chocolate chips
1 any bar chocolate
150 gms of bourn bourn biscuits

Method: Take the ice cream out from the fridge and soften it a little bit
Line a tin with clingfiln from the sides and the bottom
Take a freezer zipbag and put the bar and the biscuits and bash them up untill
someform sizeable crumbs.
Take a mixing bowl and put in the softened icecream,crumbs,chocolate chips and mix for 2 minutes
Put the icecream cake mixture in the tin and close with clingfilm
Leave in the fridzer to set.
Serve when required

MIXED FRUIT SALAD


Indegrients: 250 grms of strawberries chopped
1 tsp of promegranate juice
100 gms of chopped mangoes
half tsp of lime juice
125 gms of blueberries
150 gms of vanilla yogurt or any yogurt

Method: 1) Mix the chopped strawberries with the promegranate juice( anardana juice)
