About mustang

Mustang is from tibetan which denotes fertile plain.It is largely dry and arid due to its position in the rain shadow of the Annapurna massif towards the south.The populatin is around 9000 spread between 3 towns .The main feature of Mustang is Gandaki river ,its valley and tributaries.Mustang was once an independent kingdom,although closely tied by language and culture to tibet. At the end
of 18 century Mastang was annexed by Nepal.Even though foreigners are allowed to visit Mustang since 1991 tourism to upper Mustang is regulated.Foreigners need special permit to enter .In 2007 a shepherd found 55 cave paintings depicting the life of buddha.

Grand palace is the official residence of the Kings of Thailand from the 18 century onwards.The construction of this palace began in 1782 during the regin of king rama 1.The palace is rectangular in shape with the western side next to the river and the royal temple situated to the east side with all the structures facing north.The king ordered the building of the temple of the emerald buddha as the monarch personal place of worship and royal temple.

SCUBA DIVERS GLASS BOATS
It is one of the greatest coral reef system comprising of 3000 reef indiviuals and nine hundred islands.It is located in the northeast of australia and also considered as one of the seven wonders of the world.It supports variety of endangered spices which includes 30 species of whales,dolphins,and 6 species of whale turtle.
Some people believe that natural threat to great barrier reef would be is climate change occuring in the form of rising water temperature.Corals turn colourlessand if the water does not cool in a month coral die.

Due to large biodiversity warm and clear waters the reef is becoming popular for tourist specially scuba divers.
A variety of boats tours and cruises are offered from single trips to long voyages .Glass bottomed boats and underwater observations are popular with helicopters.
